Title : Becoming a Wildlife Detective
Speakers : Helen E. Grose, professional photographer, educator and workshop leader
Date : Monday, October 29th, 2018 – 7:00 pm
Location : Humber Valley United Church, 76 Anglesey Blvd., Etobicoke
Please join the Etobicoke Camera Club for an informative evening as we have a look into the world of Nature photography and wildlife photography in particular. Muskoka-based professional photographer, Helen Grose will be the featured speaker sharing with us some images of northern wildlife and how to track and photograph them.
Helen started her photography career travelling throughout Canada, the United States and Europe photographing professional sports events. Since then, she’s been fortunate to capture celebrities on the red carpet, professionals at work, athletes giving it their all, and families sharing unforgettable moments. Helen’s work has been published in magazines, newspapers and websites around the world, and can also be found hanging in private collections in homes, offices, and cottages worldwide. In 2015, she stopped travelling regularly to open a small gallery in Port Carling. After closing the doors for the off-season, Helen decided to focus her efforts on opening a larger gallery at home on her farm. She expects to open the doors for business this year (has it opened?) In 2017, she became an instructor at a leading Ontario college, where she teaches landscape and nature photography.
Tonight as the title of her talk suggests, members and guest will get some real world hints, tips and instruction on how to track down and photograph some of Ontario’s native wildlife to enable you to get some top notch nature shots. Join us for an informative and entertaining evening of nature images.
Guest fee this evening for non-members, $10.00 which of course can be used to offset the purchase of a club membership, parking is free.
