When: Wednesday, July 3 – 7:00 PM sharp – rain or shine
What: Midsummer outing – Street Walk – Butterfly Laneway
The Butterfly Laneway Project is a local initiative that sponsors street artists, to beautify otherwise drab back alleys and make them attractive as walkable spaces in the city.
The Project has just completed a new collection in a laneway running south from Harbord Street on the west side of Grace St. Lots of gorgeous urban art, plus some wonderful architecture in the back streets, and peeks into some very interesting back yards. It’s a lush, leafy residential area with lots of character.
Meet in front of the tiger statue on the northwest corner of Bloor and Christie, right across from the Christie Subway Station. From there we will walk south on Clinton Street, jogging through the back alleys down to the Butterfly Laneway, and then back up to Bloor Street.
Come for a quick tour before sunset, or stay and enjoy the opportunity for night street photography on Bloor once the sun goes down.
