Happy New Year!

Hope everyone's holidays were merry and bright!  We kicked off the second half of our season with an amazing presentation by our former member, Kas Stone.  The topic was Winter Photography and the photos were beautiful as always.  On January 14th, we had our very popular Architecture Competition live judging.  Some stunning images were entered.  Head over to our galleries and take a look for yourself at the entries.

If you are still thinking about becoming a member this year, the price to join is now Half Price!  Only $40.00!  Please fill out the application online asap.  You won't regret joining this fun and informative group!

Tidings of Comfort & Joy!

Don't forget that tonight is the Awards Salon for the Nature Competition, as well as, Winner presentations, Image Critique for Architecture, and if there is time left perhaps one or two Member’s shows.

Next week our popular Members Christmas Social returns full of Christmas finger food & refreshments.  Don't forget to bring something to share!  If you are not sure what to bring then check our sign up sheets tonight for inspiration.  There will also be a  50/50 draw, and this years friendly and fun competition: Street Photography.  Should be a great evening and a wonderful finale for 2018.

No meetings scheduled on December 17, 24 or 31.  Our next ECC meeting will not be until the new year on January 7th with a Presentation by former ECC member, Kas Stone on Winter Photography.  A great way to start of the new year!

On behalf of the entire ECC Board, we would like to wish all our members and their families a wonderful and safe Holiday season full of awesome photographic opportunities!

See you in the New Year!

It’s November!

Time sure flies when you have been having fun! September and October seem but a blur. We have had some amazing presenters starting with Jason DiMichele, Stephen Slack, Laurence Butet-Roch, Helen Grose, and Wayne Fisher. We saw our members bring some beautiful prints for our Prints 1 competition and an amazing variety of digital images were entered this year in Photographer's Choice #1. We held a great Educational Evening on November 19 and learned all about Image backup strategies, tips and Techniques, CLOUD storage backup, Introduction to monitor calibration and why you need it, Image memory card corruption, and how to fix it, COREL PAINTSHOP PRO, and creative post-processing images using VIRTUAL PAINTER.   Plus the latest edition of the VIEWFINDER is up and ready for your reading pleasure.

Looking ahead to things we still have to look forward to before the end of this year; its Judging Night for Nature on the 26th. Don't forget to enter your Street Photography images for the Christmas Friendly Competition on November 26th. And the ever favourite annual Christmas Social will be held on December 10th.   Please bring some finger foods to share.  Can't wait to socialize while tasting all those amazing goodies!

On behalf of the entire ECC Board, we would like to wish all our members and their families a wonderful Holiday season!

And one last note…it's never too late to join if you are interested in becoming a Member of ECC.

Welcome to a new season with the Etobicoke Camera Club.

The new season is beginning to take shape. Over the summer we will be working on a variety of projects.  Some are small things  and some are quite large. The results should make for a fun, informative and entertaining year.

Start by marking your calendars with the first meeting of the season September 10th,2018.

The program for the rest of the year will be posted here in a little while.
